Why tile adhesive, not sand cement
A traditional sand-cement bed depends on water, soaking and luck. A polymer-modified adhesive bonds chemically to both the tile and the substrate in a thin, controlled bed — so the floor you hand over stays exactly as you laid it.

Site tips
Six habits of a tiling job that never fails
Never soak tiles in water again
Adhesive works on a dry, dust-free surface. Water in traditional cement mortar is what causes hollow, drummy tiles later.
Mix 5.5–6 litres per 20 kg bag
Add powder to clean water, mix to a lump-free paste, rest 5 minutes, remix — then use within 2 hours.
Use the right notched trowel
A 6mm x 6mm square notched trowel gives an even 3mm bed and covers about 55–60 sq. ft. per bag.
Butter the back of heavy tiles
For large vitrified tiles and natural stone, back-butter for 100% contact and zero voids.
Respect the spacers
Keep 2–3mm joints so the floor can breathe and expand without lifting or tenting.
Let it set fully
Tiles set in 24 hours and reach full strength after 28 days — grout the next day, load later.
